Encyclopedia of American Industries [About]
Business reference encyclopedia providing detailed, comprehensive information on a wide range of industries in every realm of American business.  Covers manufacturing industries as well as service and non-manufacturing industries in the United States.

Encyclopedia of Major Marketing Campaigns [About]  
Covers 500 major marketing and advertising campaigns - current and historical. Includes overview, historical context, target market, competition, market strategy, etc.

Gale Virtual Reference Library
Includes a few business-related titles, including Business Leader Profiles for Students, Encyclopedia of Population, Encyclopedia of Small Business, and Gale Encyclopedia of U.S. Economic History.

MyiLibrary [About]
Includes a few business-related titles under the Social Sciences section, such as: Accounting Principles for Lawyers; Charging Ahead - The Growth and Regulation of Payment Card Markets; Competition Policy and Law in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan; and Multinationals and Corporate Social Responsibility.

NetLibrary [About]
Search by key words, such as "project management" in the "Basic Search" box and make sure the drop down menu says "Full Text." This database contains a few hundred titles covering various business topics.

Oxford Scholarship Online [About]
Over 1,000 e-books covering Philosophy, Religion, Political Science, and Economics and Finance.  Note, the Economics and Finance titles are limited to abstracts only.

Oxford Reference Online [About]
Contains about 100 dictionary, language reference, and subject reference works published by Oxford University Press.  It is a fully-indexed, cross-searchable database.  Includes the following dictionaries:  accounting, business and management, economics, finance and banking, human resource management, and international financial terms.

Safari Tech Books Online [About]
To view the books available to you, select "My Content" in the Search tool bar before typing in your keywords. You'll find a few books about business.

SourceOECD [About]
In the Books section of this database, you will find over 1,500 entire books in pdf format covering topics such as Emerging Economies, Transition Economies, Territorial Economy, Industry, Services and Trade. Searchable by title or key word.


Available at Boston Public Library

The Boston Public Library also subscribes to the Gale Virtual Reference Library, Safari Business Books Online and Netlibrary.  Their databases contain additional items.  BPL's eBooks page is available here.  A valid BPL library card is required to access BPL's databases from outside the library.  Massachusetts residents can sign up for a temporary BPL eCard by following the instructions listed here.
