Virtual Catalog (VC) -- books, scoresbbooks, obo, scores

• appropriate for campus residents or those on campus frequently
• request while online, use BU ID; response time excellent
• item is delivered to Mugar circulation
• receive email notification when to pick up
• no renewals; return item at Mugar circulation
• it's a service of the Boston Library Consortium

Minuteman catalog -- most formats

• apropriate for town residents of Eastern Massachusetts
• participating Minuteman library card required
• search and request while online; response time good
• pick up the item(s) at your local public library
• most books, scores, videos, recordings may be borrowed
• bonus: the network offers some electronic databases
• it's a service of the Minuteman Public Library Network

Interlibrary Loan -- all formats

• appropriate for campus residents or those on campus frequently
• submit detailed request form online
• item is delivered to ILL Office (Mugar 1st floor)
• you receive notification for pickup; reponse time varies
• usually no renewals, sometimes on-site use only
• it's a service of Boston University Libraries
