Online Facts: Associations, Organizations, and Think Tanks

• Associations on the Net, from the Internet Public Library, provides links to the Web sites of professional and trade associations, cultural institutions, political parties and other non-profit organizations.

• Associations Unlimited contains information on over 400,000 international, national, regional, state and local nonprofit membership organizations in all fields. It includes IRS data on U.S. 501(c) nonprofit organizations.

• International Organization Web Sites is a selection of internet links from the Yearbook of International Organizations.

• Directory of Think Tanks  is an international directory published by The National Institute for Research Advancement.

• Nonprofit Organizations. A comprehensive list of over 640,000 Non Profit Organizations--based on IRS records--has been posted by Guidestar. This site can be searched by organizational type or location. Entry content varies from simple name and address, to statement of purpose and detailed financial statements.

• Scholarly Societies Project is an international Web link directory of over 2500 scholarly societies produced at the University of Waterloo (Ontario) Library.
