| Where do I get an item not in this library? »»
ILL is a free service that allows you to borrow items from libraries
around the world. A current BU ID and completed request forms are required.
»»
Request forms are available at the Reference Desk or electronically.
»»
Books, article photocopies and microforms can be picked up at the ILL
office (right) M-F, 9-5. If the office is closed, staff at the Circulation
Desk or Reference Desk can retrieve items for you.
»»
Please note: The Boston University Library system is extensive, and
the online catalog can be confusing. Double-check with the Reference
Desk staff to confirm that we do not own the item (possibly in
a different format). ILL can not borrow an item from another library
that we own - even if it's charged out.
»»
Requests take approximately 2-3 weeks to be processed and received.
(But
I can't wait 2-3 weeks!)
