Reserve

Makes required course readings easily accessible to all students in the course by placing access limits (in most cases, 2-hour check-out, in-library use).

Items are arranged by call number.

Items on Reserve are listed in the catalog by faculty name and course number, as well as by item title. Please note the location in the catalog (it might be in a different library!)

The Boston Globe, Boston Herald, New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post are kept on Reserve in paper form until they become available on microfilm (usually 3 months).

Also see: Reserve Policies

While reserve services for the majority of Boston University's courses are provided by the Mugar Reserve service, similar services are provided separately by many of Mugar's branches.

Reserve services are also offered at Law, Theology and Medicine.
