Marketing and Communications is a comprehensive marketing and communications organization serving the entire BU community. We offer the following services across our several departments:

- Media relations Placing faculty experts and BU news in the top U.S. media markets; managing crises and emergencies in the media; building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with key media outlets to strengthen BU’s competitive position.
- Branding strategy and execution Defining BU’s unique personality as one of the world’s leading private, urban, teaching and research universities; working with BU’s schools and colleges to strengthen the brand; maximizing return on BU’s investment in marketing and communications, particularly to recruit students and engage alumni.
- Creative services Creating superb websites, publications, and photography for clients throughout the University; using these products to build the BU brand; ensuring competitive pricing and high-quality production.
- Video and film Producing original features for specific client needs; documenting major BU events.
- Instructional technology Planning and maintaining state-of-the-art academic and administrative spaces that advance BU’s teaching and research mission.
- University information and customer service Maintaining and distributing general information and facts about BU; providing real-time assistance through online, telephone, and face-to-face interactions.
