The Master of Criminal Justice (MCJ) program is for those who wish
to enter or advance a criminal justice career, especially those considering advanced
studies or administration and research in the area of criminal justice.
The Master in Criminal Justice also prepares students to enter areas
of management, government, and specialized units in law enforcement.
The criminal justice master program combines a foundation in the liberal
arts with
disciplinary and interdisciplinary concentrations in the fields
related to criminal justice. Degree candidates study research methods
and complete a required core of courses on the history, philosophy,
politics, and social consequences of the American criminal justice system.
