The Vice President for Information Services & Technology (VP-IS&T) is responsible for overseeing planning, development, acquisition, delivery, and support of institutional computing, communications, media support and information technology services and resources. IS&T is the umbrella organization for BU Information Technology—including BU Telecommunications—The Media Group and University Information Systems. IS&T provides institutional planning, operation, and support of administrative computing; large components of academic and research computing; campus wired and wireless networks; external network connectivity; the telephone and cable television systems; the University’s principal electronic mail servers and service; enterprise authentication and authorization systems; classroom presentation and media support services; institutional Web-based courseware, information, presentation, and application systems and services; and personal computer sales, service, and support.
