The purpose of this website is to provide a guide to all Faculty – current faculty and new appointees at both senior and junior levels – to Boston University’s approach to Technology Transfer - the translation of their ideas into useful products and services. The intent is for the site to provide:
- a perspective on the University’s overall philosophy towards inventions, commercialization and relationships with industry;
- a guide to the many resources and people available within Boston University to help you evaluate your idea and decide what path, if any, to go down; information and useful links;
- a realistic understanding of the effort that will be required and what the return to you might be.
Any good website is a constant work in progress. If you find there is an item that has not been covered or if something you read on the site is unclear, please contact us and tell us so that we can fix the problem.
