RideShare Program
Boston University's urban setting provides significant benefits
to faculty, staff and students. This setting, however, brings with
it a general shortage of parking facilities. In light of this and
consistent with the University's commitment to the environment,
all members of the community are encouraged to explore alternative
methods of commuting to and from campus. By using public transportation,
carpooling, vanpooling, bicycling, or walking, you can reduce commuting
costs and have a positive impact on the environment.
A number of initiatives have been designed to help you form a carpool
or vanpool, purchase a "T" Pass or learn about various shuttle services
provided by the University. Our goal in implementing the RideShare
Program is to increase your awareness of alternative modes of transportation,
ensure that you make an informed decision and, with your assistance,
make our campus as environmentally friendly as possible. We welcome
your suggestions, ideas and comments regarding these initiatives.
Please direct your electronic mail to the Parking Services Employee
Transportation Coordinator, etc@bu.edu,

RideMatch
The Parking Office has developed a web based ride-matching program
whereby interested members of the community can post their willingness
to carpool or vanpool and coordinate with like-minded colleagues
to share the ride. To participate in the ride-matching program go
to RideMatch.
