Dr. Daniel Star, presently a Research Fellow at the Center for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics (CAPPE) of the Australian National University, will be joining the faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Fall Semester, 2008. A specialist in ethics and moral epistemology, Dr. Star received his doctorate from the University of Oxford in 2007.

Also joining the Department for the Fall Semester is Dr. Amélie Rorty. A renowned scholar and philosopher, Dr. Rorty will be teaching courses in the history of ancient philosophy.
