The following statistics indicate the extensive nature of our collection and resources:

• BU is the second largest academic library in the Boston area (after Harvard) and is the fourth largest academic library in New England.
• BU Libraries hold nearly 2.5 million volumes and 42,000 unique electronic journals.
• BU Libraries have over 200 staff members ready to meet your research needs. 

 

Our main library page provides links to our databases, eJournals and research guides. You will need a BU login name and Kerberos password to access our electronic resources. If you do not have a BU login name and Kerberos password, please contact the IT Help Center. Please consult our eResources page for assistance with accessing our electronic resources.  

While we have a large number of resources available electronically, please remember that many of our journals and the majority of our books are only available in print.  Please check our catalog to find the call numbers of books and their format (print, electronic or microfilm) and also our journal holdings.
