NEW INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGIST APPOINTED AT BOSTON MEDICAL CENTER

(Boston)- Claudia P. Hochberg, MD, has been appointed an interventional cardiologist in the Department of Cardiology at Boston Medical Center (BMC), and has been recommended as assistant professor of cardiology at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM).

Hochberg, of Newton, Mass., received her medical degree from BUSM and completed her residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston.

Hochberg’s clinical interests include the treatment of coronary artery disease, the management of acute myocardial infarctions and valvular heart disease. Her research interests include improving reperfusion strategies in acute myocardial infarctions and the differences in the treatment, management and outcomes of coronary artery disease in women.

Prior to her appointment at BMC, Hochberg completed fellowships in interventional cardiology and clinical cardiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston. She is a member of the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, the American Medical Association and the Massachusetts Medical Society.
