Ali Guermazi, Associate Professor
Radiology
Ali Guermazi, MD received his medical degree from the Sfax University School of Medicine in Sfax, Tunisia and completed his radiology residency at Saint-Louis University Hospital in Paris, France. Dr. Guermazi’s interests involve the imaging of lymphoma and leukemia, kidney cancer, osteoarthritis and imaging-guided interventional radiology.
Dr. Guermazi has been appointed to the positions of Chief, Section of Musculoskeletal in the Department of Radiology at Boston Medical Center and Associate Professor of Radiology at Boston University School of Medicine. Prior to these appointments, Guermazi served as the Medical Director of Lymphoma and Kidney Cancer at Synarc Inc. in San Francisco, California and Visiting Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of California, San Francisco.
Guermazi serves on the editorial board of European Radiology and is a journal reviewer for European Radiology, Arthritis and Rheumatism, International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, Experimental Hematology, European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, and the European Journal of Neurology. He has edited 2 books, Radiological Imaging in Hematological Malignancies and Imaging of Kidney Cancer. He has been a contributor to numerous book chapters and more than 100 scientific papers and a presenter at several medical conferences and grand rounds.
Guermazi is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, European Society of Radiology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, International Skeletal Society, Osteoarthritis Research Society International, International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, and the International Cancer Imaging Society.
Hans K. Meier-Ewert, Assistant Professor
Medicine
Hans K. Meier-Ewert MD joined the Cardiovascular Center and the Department of Medicine at Boston Medical Center in May 2006 and was appointed Assistant Professor of Medicine. He received an MD from Ludwig Maximilian Univ. School of Medicine in Munich, Germany, and completed training in Internal Medicine at The Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, and in Cardiovascular Diseases at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. Prior to joining BMC, Dr. Meier-Ewert was an invasive clinical cardiologist at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic in Lebanon, NH, and served as medical director of the echocardiography laboratory at Littleton Regional Hospital in Littleton, NH. His research interests include noninvasive cardiac imaging and sleep and cardiovascular disease.
