Assistantships & Traineeships

There are three separate types of assistantships that are awarded directly from the department to the student. The award amount varies with the number of hours employed and the type of service performed. If you are interested in applying for the Teaching and Research Assistantships/Fellowships, Traineeships, or Graduate Assistantships, you need to send a letter to your program chairperson detailing your areas of interest and expertise.

Resident assistantships are available in the housing facilities of Boston University, as well as nearby schools. Compensation usually provides room and may include meals and/or living stipend.
