Student Council

The Council is comprised of elected representatives from all classes and works to promote activities and a strong sense of college unity. The council initiates social events, lectures, and community service opportunities for students, faculty and staff. Heather Nicholson is the advisor to the Student Council and Class Officers.

Class Governments

The members of each Sargent Class select four officers and a representative from each major to provide leadership for that class. Fundraisers are held to support class activities. Class Officers and representatives work in collaboration with Student Council. Elections are held annually.

Dean's Hosts

These are students selected to volunteer their time as ambassadors for Sargent College. They give tours to prospective students and their families, participate in recruitment, open houses and Phone-a-thons. Dean's Hosts are chosen through an application process: students must have sophomore standing with a minimum 2.5 g.p.a. to apply. Heather Nicholson is advisor to this program. To apply, please download the application.

Student Representatives to the Sargent Alumni Association Board

Two students are selected to serve on the Board as liaisons from the student body. These representatives help alumni with suggestions and activities that bring alumni and current students together. Contact Liz Matejczyk at 617-353-2707 for more information.

Sargent College Honor Society

This organization provides programming and opportunities for all Sargent College students, faculty and staff. The group sponsors lectures and events for the Sargent College Community and works closely with the Alumni. Sargent Students with an overall g.p.a. of 3.5 by the Junior Year are invited to join the Honor Society. Debbie Claar is the advisor.

Additional Organizations

There are also professionally oriented clubs and associations that students can become involved with such as the Occupational Therapy Club, the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association, to name a few. Contact your program for information.
