Professional Practices that Promote Recovery: Development of a New Instrument
A study designed to develop and test a new instrument titled “Recovery Promoting Relationships Scale (RPRS).” This instrument measures the relationships people with psychiatric conditions have with their mental health and rehabilitation providers.
Why Participate?
Participation in research is essential to advance the field of psychiatric rehabilitation and to develop programs and practices to facilitate recovery from a psychiatric disability. Research data may be published in journal articles, integrated into trainings for rehabilitation providers, and reported to the federal government. Participation may contribute to the recovery process of many people whose lives have been affected by a disabling mental illness.
Research at the Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation
Researchers at the Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation strive to develop and evaluate new knowledge for the field of psychiatric rehabilitation. Periodically, our research division invites individuals from our local community, from the continental United States, and from around the world to participate in our research projects. All research procedures and instruments have been approved by a multidisciplinary institutional review board (IRB) at Boston Univeristy prior to recruitment.
