Sexual Assault

ARE YOU IN IMMEDIATE NEED OF HELP? Student Health Services’ Crisis Intervention Counselors can be reached 24/7 during the academic year by calling 617-353-3569 (3-3569 on campus).

Crisis intervention counselors are available to provide confidential services, free of charge, to any BU student.

We’re here to help with things like:

  • Immediate responses with information about choices available concerning safety, medical attention, and legal and judicial interventions.
  • Therapy, counseling and psychiatric evaluation.
  • Advocacy to assist with academics, housing, and employment.

We work with each student to provide what is most helpful.

Rape has affected the lives of 18 million women and 3 million men in the United States. One in six women has been raped at some time in her life. Only a small percentage of sexual assaults are ever reported.
