Selected Grant Activity
Psychopathology of Compulsive Hoarding, NIMH, 2005-2009. Principal Investigator. This is a collaborative R01 grant with Dr Randy Frost at Smith College to study the symptoms and pathology associated with compulsive hoarding and its relationship to OCD.
Treatment of Body Dysmorphic Disorder, NIMH, 2004-2007. Co-Investigator. This R34 grant with Dr. Sabine Wilhelm (Principal investigator) from Mass General Hospital and Dr. Kathy Phillips from Butler Hospital aims to develop and test a cognitive behavioral treatment for BDD.
Treatment of Compulsive Hoarding, NIMH, 2003-2006. Principal Investigator. This recently completed R21 grant with colleagues Dr. Randy Frost at Smith College and Dr. David Tolin at Hartford Hospital focused on developing and testing a multi-method treatment for hoarding.
Other recently completed grants examined (1) cognitive therapy for OCD (NIMH), (2) reasons for treatment failure for clients with OCD (OC Foundation), (3) compulsive hoarding among elderly people (OC Foundation), and (4) family factors predicting treatment outcome for OCD (NIMH).
