Policies and Procedure
Course Assignments
Students are expected to complete written assignments for each class by their respective due dates.
Papers written for graduate courses are expected to include references to relevant subject.
The APA format must be used for all assignments.
Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (2001)
Incomplete Grades
A student who cannot complete the assignments for a course must initiate an incomplete grade dialogue with the instructor before the final class. Individual instructors may choose to grant a grade of Incomplete and allow the student to complete the assignment by a designated date.
Please inform the Program Director and Assistant Dean for OCP when requesting an incomplete.
The student must obtain the Incomplete Agreement Form and give it to the instructor.
The Agreement must be signed by the student and the professor prior to the end of the course.
The Agreement must be submitted with the course grades.
Due to the structure of the Off-Campus Programs it is not advisable that students request incompletes.
Students must resolve incomplete grades by the agreed-upon date.
For additional information, please refer to the Student Handbook policies regarding incompletes. Note that the School of Social Work registrar will return grade sheets to faculty when no Incomplete Agreement Form is attached for "I" grades.
Grade Submission/Grading of Papers
Off-Campus Faculty may give students up to two weeks to submit assignments following the completion of a course.
Faculty has four weeks from the last day of classes to submit the grades to the registrar.
Participation in Extracurricular Activities
Periodically, extra-curricular activities are offered at each OCP campus. These include, but are not limited to: celebrations, integrative seminars (required), forums, and community meetings. Students are strongly encouraged to attend these activities.
