Student OrganizationS
The Boston University School of Social Work supports various student organizations with:
- Meeting space
- The opportunity to apply for funding from the Student Organization's budget
- Consultation support
The Student Organization (SO) meets on the first Wednesday of each month from noon to 1 PM. SO makes decisions about funding events, discusses curricular issues, and sets its own agenda.
Students organize caucuses depending on current interests. Caucuses have included:
- ALANA ( African/Black, Latino, Asian/Pacific Islander, and Native American) Caucus
- Disability Caucus
- GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender) Caucus
- International Students Caucus
- Social Workers for Peace and Justice Caucus
- Spirituality Caucus
Students are encouraged to join and create new caucuses.
