Learning Center Volunteering

Learning Centers are hands-on campuses for learning about world hunger and poverty and Heifer's sustainable solutions towardending those.
Experience working examples of the type of sustainable agriculture Heifer supports around the world, tend an organic garden, assist in the gentle care and treatment of livestock or help facilitate educational programs.
Learning Center volunteering offers a hands-on opportunity to see theory put in to practice and connects participants with a community that is actively working to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth!
Residential Volunteers
Residential volunteers, who must be at least 18 years of age, facilitate much of the educationalprogramming that teaches and promotes sustainable solutions. Residential volunteers at each center benefit from on-site housing, stipends(minimum one-month commitment) and a strongcommunity connection with other staff.
Local Volunteers
Local volunteers from the communities near each learning center help with facilityand equipment maintenance, livestock chores, reception duties and leading education programs. Local volunteers can serve full or part-time in many roles.

Single Volunteers Boston
SVB strives to create a fun, productive environment for Boston singles to connect. SVB is an alternative to bars and dating services for single professionals who want to meet one another while performing worthwhile services in the greater Boston community. In doing so, SVB provides singles with the opportunity to impact their community, and environment in a tangible way.
SVB offers "one time" volunteer opportunities to 10 or more volunteers at a time. These projects can be anything from answering phones during a telethon to staffing blood drives, or cleaning zoos and parks. Events last anywhere from 2-5 hours and are followed by a social event at a local restaurant or pub where volunteers can continue to get to know one another.

The Boston Living Center (BLC) is a non-profit community and resource center whose mission is to foster the wellness of all HIV positive people and respond to the changing needs of the HIV/AIDS community.
