Professional Education Programs periodically offers study/travel programs to further a provider's skills and cultural experiences.
Costa Rica
This two-week language-immersion program offers participants the opportunity to study Spanish and learn about the social service and health care systems in Costa Rica. The language program is intensive, interactive, supportive, and fun. Classroom instruction is 5 days a week, 4.5 hours each day, followed by afternoon lectures, community service, cultural activities, or field trips. Upon arrival, students are placed in classes depending on their language skills, from absolute beginners to advanced students. Class size is small, with no more than four students.
Students live with Costa Rican families. The homestay experience facilitates language learning and provides active participation in the culture and society. Host families provide private rooms, breakfast, dinner, and laundry service. (Home stays are recommended but alternative arrangements can be made.)

TUITION: $1700 + $100 Application Fee (Excluding air fare). Includes 30 CEC’s, language program, room and board. Airfare is estimated at $500-$700.
