Counseling

Behavioral Medicine Clinic
A staff of carefully selected mental health clinicians is available to students experiencing a wide range of mental health issues. The members of the staff include psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurse specialists and licensed mental health clinicians, who are specialized in working with students. Students come in to discuss problems related to stress caused by academic expectations, anxiety, depression, food and body image issues, family problems and relationship distress, amongst others. For longer term care, we facilitate referrals to community resources. Our clinicians also counsel students struggling with alcohol and drug abuse.

Help is available at the BMC, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Appointments for regular care are available from 8 AM - 8 PM Monday to Thursday, and 8 AM - 5 PM on Friday. Phone assistance is available at all times at (617) 353 - 3569. Emergencies are attended to immediately. Two crisis intervention counselors are available on the same phone number. We coordinate with other counseling resources on campus, such as the Danielsen Institute, Psychological Services and the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders.

The Danielsen Institute
