Group outings to Harvard Square and Faneuil Hall. Movie nights and karaoke in the dorms. Soccer at Nickerson Field and Ultimate Frisbee on the Esplanade.

These are just a few examples of what students may participate in during the summer here in Boston. Program events help orient you to the city of Boston and help you get to know the other students in the program. And they're fun! Take a look at the schedules of events from last summer - they'll give an idea of how you can expect to spend your time while on campus.

Events listed are mandatory group activities. Optional and impromptu events planned by the program assistants and staff will also take place throughout the summer.

Sunday, June 29

• Check-in from 12 pm – 4 pm at 700 Commonwealth Avenue, 4th floor of Warren Towers
• Program Orientation at 4:30 pm in Warren Towers Cinema Room, 4th floor
• Dinner at 5 pm in the Warren Towers Dining Room
• Public Safety Talk at 7 pm in Warren Towers Cinema Room
• Floor meeting with Resident Assistant and Program Assistant at 8 pm

Monday, June 30

• First Day of Class! Good Luck!!!
• Research Internship Orientation, Safety Training and Luncheon (For Research Intern Students Only)
• Dinner with your floor
• “Ice” Night
  - Ice Breakers and Ice Cream

Friday, July 4

• July 4th – Independence Day – No classes
• Barbeque and Fireworks

• Pre-professional health talk – Are you interested in pre-med, pre-dental, or attending graduate school for science. Come to a talk by a representative of BU’s pre-professional health office. (optional)
  

Sunday, July 20

• Whale Watching - meet at the elevator on your floor at 12:30 pm.
• Discussion group – talk with the program assistants about issues regarding college (optional).
  

Friday, July 25

• Say Cheese – Participate in a photo shoot and maybe you will be part of next year’s brochure (optional)
  
• So you think you can dance? Show us your moves at the 80’s theme dance.
  

Monday, July 28

• Be part of the Red Sox Nation!

Friday, August 1

• Community Dinner – Come eat together (optional)
  

Saturday, August 2

• Beach Trip to Hampton Beach - Meet downstairs of Warren Towers at 9:15 a.m. (don’t worry, you can sleep on the beach) - Pack $, SUNSCREEN, and towel!!! (optional)

Sunday, August 3

• Pizza Party – Enjoy eating pizza with your friends and viewing a slide show of memories from the past weeks.

Friday, August 8

• For Research Students Only – Poster presentation at 1:30 pm.
