Summer Term features a number of exciting programs that are offered exclusively during the summer months. Make sure you take a few moments to read about these special programs—you might find just the summer experience you’re looking for. Boston University Physical Education, Recreation and Dance Program (PERD)The Fitness and Recreation Center and the Department of Physical Education, Recreation and Dance offer a wide variety of summer recreational programs, including classes in aquatics, climbing, court sports, dance, fitness, mind/body, emergency medical services, sailing, and rowing. The department also offers children's programs such as swim lessons, dance and summer day camp. Programs are offered to the BU community as well as to the general public. Center for English Language Programs (CELOP)Center for English Language Programs at Boston University provides English language and U.S. cultural instruction to international professionals and adult students from around the world. School of Public Health (SPH)The School of Public Health offers a variety of summer courses open to both guest students and degree candidates. Summer Institute in International Health (SPH)The Department of International Health offers courses and certificate programs on a variety of critical international health issues. Built on 25 years of training health professionals from all over the globe, the Summer Institute offers practical, skills-oriented programs in June, July, and August. MPH candidates, undergraduates, and both domestic and international working professionals are invited to apply. Boston University International ProgramsBoston University International Programs offer students the opportunity for summer study abroad in 11 countries around the world. Summer programs range in length from 6 to 12 weeks, and provide 8 to 12 Boston University credits.
