The Mathworks,
Inc. provides high-productivity tools
for solving challenging mathematical, computational,
and model-based technical problems.
Stand-alone licenses ( Matlab

The free network based Matlab client can be installed by faculty, staff, and sponsored graduate students on university owned machines at Boston University. The client only works on IP addresses owned by BU.
We offer 40+ network based toolboxes as well as Matlab and Simulink. For access to toolbox updates, contact owner-matlab-list@bu.edu
Alternate ways to access Matlab:
The IS&T Application Server
UNIX and Linux machines that use the Office of Information
Technology's Application Server have access to preinstalled
versions of Matlab 7.5 and some earlier versions.. Ask your system
administrator if this service is available on your
departmental machines.
Matlab on ACS-Linux
Write matlab@bu.edu if your class needs access to
the latest version of Matlab, which resides only on
acs-linux.bu.edu. Acs-linux is available to everyone
with an account on the ACS Cluster, the University's
Unix cluster.
Matlab on SCV systems
Faculty and students on a research project are eligible
for an account on Scientific Computing and Visualization
systems, where a version of Matlab is also available.
See the SCV Matlab help page.
