Head out to Fenway for some free high school baseball

Getting into TD Banknorth Garden tonight isn’t for the fiscally timid: tickets to tonight’s Celtics-Lakers showdown start at $600 a pop and go all the way up to $48,000 for the courtside seats. Fortunately, it’s a great day to waltz into Fenway Park and see some baseball — for free. Area all-stars from Boston's public high school baseball teams take the field at Fenway for the All-City Baseball Classic. And the 3 p.m. start will give you plenty of time to get back home to the tube to see the Celtics game at 9 p.m.

The All-City Baseball Classic runs from 3 to 5 p.m. at Fenway Park, 4 Yawkey Way. For more information, click here.
