Ultimate Puts a Competitive Spin on Frisbee

Championship teams come to Boston this week

Think you know everything there is to know about Frisbee? Think again. Ultimate Frisbee takes the familiar sport and puts a competitive spin on it, with rules similar to football or rugby. Want to know more? The Boston Ultimate Disc Alliance partnered this week with the Ultimate Showcase Series (USS) to host UK teams in  friendly exhibition games. Clinics and instructional pickup games are being held before and after the games.

Today, the USS Men’s World Championships pit Great Britain against Team Boston Ultimate.

The USS Men’s World Championship is today, June 27, at Bello Field, Tufts University, Medford, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are free, but donations are suggested. For more information, visit the Web site.
