On Monday, October 5, at 10:50 a.m. the University will test the BU Alert warning system, which is designed to communicate with cell phones (text and voice messages), landlines, e-mail systems, and pagers during a crisis or time-sensitive situation on Boston University’s Charles River and Medical Campuses. Messages will be sent to more than 43,000 members of the BU community, and BU Alert information will appear on several University Web sites and on BUTV.

BU community members who do not receive a message should update their contact information through the BU Alert link on the Employee Link Web page, under Personal.
