What do you think about the police officers now on Comm Ave at rush hour trying to improve traffic near the BU Bridge?

They’re awesome; things are moving much better.

Moving better or not, at least it feels safer.

Nice try, but not much will change until they ticket everybody in sight.

Make it better for everyone

They are AWESOME!! The presence of Law Enforcement Officers make everybody clam down and follow the rules! Also, Actively directing traffic is VERY important at the University Road x Comm Ave intersection. They simply cannot put up a timed traffic light at University-Road right-turn Comm-Ave, because it will cause backup on Storrow in rush hours. Buttons doesn't work, because there are ALWAYS people walking, and cars will go nowhere. Car sensors doesn't work, because streams of cars from Storrow arrives continuously. I guess there are still stuff that Humans can do better than any kind of machines..!

Police at BU Bridge

I like having the police there in the morning. Lately I've had to drive to work (usually I walk) and I find it helpful that they are directing pedestrian crossing traffic as I turn onto Comm Ave from the bridge. This way, when they tell me I can make the right hand turn, I feel comfortable that I will not run over any impulsive pedestrians or bicyclists.

I feel safer!

I bike through that intersection several times a day, and I am happy to see them make eye contact with me... I try to be safe and not obstructive to cars, but intersections are always spooky. I am glad that in the areas most clogged with people and cars and other bicycles, some people are devoting their full attention to getting us all through safely.

It's great to have them

It's great to have them there. Great for drivers- trying to turn right from University Rd at rush hour is very difficult without them; they really move things along. (The bridge is going to be rebuilt; it's just going to take a long time...)

They're on the right track,

They're on the right track, but they're supervising the wrong intersection - the one onto the island before the bridge isn't the dangerous one, although it's probably frustrating for drivers there - it's the bridge itself that's gonna get someone killed one of these days!
