¤       Split web application development environments into Development, Test and Production to prepare for mod_perl migration

¤       Migrated to mod_perl, a version of perl scripting language that allows for the reuse of processes, resulting in significant speed and performance improvements, in some web functions such as Graphical Schedule, up to 10 times faster

¤       Periodic Maintenance System.  A new system is being implemented which will automate the process of file maintenance. With this new system, all database files will be automatically maintained. This is a significant improvement over the older system which was labor intensive and not as comprehensive.  Database administrators will also have greater control over the types and durations of the maintenance being performed.   

 

¤       Formalized the “outlaw” process (ad hoc updates to the Production database) to track authorization, document and facilitate recovery

 

¤       Framework for dynamic questions and answers

¤       New US functions for Information Security

 

¤       Developed automated QA processes to mine databases for anomalies and then research PLOGS for probable causes.

¤       Supporting Security compliance by migrating batch processing and transfers to encrypted protocols

 

¤       Sunsetting Faxgate processing and use of impact printing (cost savings by reducing licensing/maintenance of products and hardware)

 

¤       Contributed to the Elimination of Librarian and Wylbur (cost savings by reducing licensing/maintenance of products)
