Bio:

Shortly after her birth in Iowa City, Jess moved to Lexington, MA for two years while her father taught chemistry and other really hard classes she’s never taken at BU. She then moved back to Iowa for her lower school years, then to Connecticut for middle school, and was finally relocated to West Virginia for most of high school. Jess learned at a young age the valuable lesson of geography, as she was that “that girl from Idaho” in Connecticut and “that girl from up north” in West Virginia. To her mother’s chagrin, Jess learned to love country music in high school where she was a campus tour guide, a member of the environmental club, French club, and president and founder of the Animal Shelter Club at her school and as well as playing soccer and running track for three years.

Jess is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences. She is a psychology major and anthropology minor and is interested in arbitration or family psychology after college. She has gone on several build trips for Habitat for Humanity, is a member of the Psi Chi Honor society for psychology and works in both the Anthropology Department and Rental Property Office as a work-study. During free time, Jess enjoys procrastinating, running outside (when Boston weather cooperates) and spending time with friends. She misses her family very much and hopes her little brother will come visit this spring to help explore Boston!

Jess became involved with Student Union this fall and helped to settle tension issues in Brookline. She enjoys dispute resolution and hopes that she can stay involved and work to make off campus life for BU students even better!
