Using the Scanning Stations
The scanning stations allow the user to quickly and easily create PDFs - or,
should they desire, to exercise a fine level of control over the entire process.
There are 2 Windows stations and 1 Macintosh station, each equipped
with its own scanner and Adobe Acrobat. Output from these scanners can be emailed,
uploaded to a website or ACS account, or burned to CD. Please note that files
saved on these computers will automatically be deleted when you log out!
The scanning stations are located in the basement of 111 Cummington St, adjacent to the main computing lab. From the main entrance to the building, take the stairs down and turn right; proceed to the double doors. B12, the office with the stations, is located on your left, just before the double doors.
The scanning stations can scan in black and white, color, single and double-sided, and have sheetfeeders that can hold 30 pages at a time. Detailed, printed instructions are kept next to each station and PCSC staff members are available for assistance.
