Use the HTML Creator
The HTML Creator is a tool used to create HTML mark-up within emails and discussion board posts without having to know HTML. The HTML Creator is available for Windows users with the Firefox 2.0 and Internet Explorer 7 browsers. Firefox users on Windows computers may need to use the work-around instructions below for the HTML Creator.
Mac OS X 10.4 users (both Intel and non-Intel) with Firefox 1.0 or 2.0 don't have this option. They can type in HTML code directly and then check the "Use HTML" check box at the bottom of the text area to display their emails and posts in HTML. Safari 3 does have the HTML creator.
Windows Users
- Log into Blackboard Vista and go to the Discussion Boards.
- Either create a new message or reply to one already posted.
- Just above the Message text box, select the "On" radio button next to "HTML Creator"

- When the HTML Creator loads, click the Font color changer.

- In the window that appears, under "Standard Colors", select the icon of the letter "A" with the black line underneath it.

- You can now type in the Message text box and use the options available in the HTML Creator.
