"Windows Vista", you may proceed to the RAM section.

"Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 1" or "Microsoft Windows XP Home Version 2002 Service Pack 1",
you must download the latest version of Windows XP at the Windows Update Center before attempting to use Blackboard Vista. After completing the installation, which may require several restarts of your computer, you may proceed to the RAM section.
- None of the above
If your information does not say "Microsoft Windows XP" or "Windows Vista", you are using an unsupported version of Windows. Unsupported versions include Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows ME.
Unsupported operating systems may work with Blackboard Vista. However, using these older operating systems may cause Blackboard Vista to run slowly, prevent some features from working properly, cause your web browser to crash at frequent intervals, and cause your computer to restart unexpectedly. As a result, you may wish to upgrade your operating system to Windows XP before continuing. You can purchase Windows XP with an academic discount from University Computers.
